Sunday's Packers Game in HDTV possible Delay

This Sunday's Packers game on CBS will be in HDTV, but we may not be able to switch to the GB game in HD until the conclusion of the 12-noon game.  CBS has  limited satellite transponder space for HDTV games across the country and they share transponders between regions.  Thus, the GB game will not be in HD until the conclusion of the New England game.   Hopefully it will end well prior to GB kick-off.  If not we will be up-converting the game until such time we can switch the GB game in HD.

We apologize for the possible delay.

Kudos to CBS-58 for informing the public ahead of time...

All it takes is some communication, a little explanation, and some foresight (three things which seem to be severely lacking in most of today's business environments, especially on the foresight part) and many problems and customer service issues can be taken care of even before they become customer service issues...

Perhaps to take care of the people that don't know about this forum, you could put a little crawler at the bottom of the screen when the game starts to air that it will be switched over to the HD feed when it becomes available???

(just thinking out loud here)...

Jim's post was great....rather than armageddon when the game started in SD, we all were told the reasons ahead of time.....thank you....

Now my complaint...I thought I saw a blurb during the game about a Reggie White special at 10:30pm....so I set the Tivo....but only got Rock Rote talking about the game.....maybe I misread something...
