Complete disaster. Happening almost every 5 minutes with crash and flip to SD.

It's not you -- it's at 12-1's end (I get it over-the-air, so there's no TWC or D* or anything else in the [excuse] picture).

Growing pains, I guess, with new transmitters, etc.

Check AVS.  It's nation-wide.

Did you guys have frequent audio dropouts as well?

Yup.  But I didn't lose DD lock on my pre-pro so the carrier must have still been present.
