I just hope that someday, the networks will realize that there is money to be made in downloads. I'd easily pay $3.00 - 5.00 to download a full 1080i DD transport stream of a show I missed. I realize that the typical user doesn't have the bandwith to download 20GB of data, but some of us do.

That's exactly what I do for shows I miss... you gotta learn how to use newsgroups.
