I'm so sick of this ****. Fox and NBC are both running Series premieres littered with garbage. This is beyond insane.

Now fox won't even switch back to HD absolutely pathetic. :bang:

 Fox has been in HD everytime I've flipped to it (OTA.. since TWC is having an outage here).

Fox
13 minutes in SDTV with garbage.
32 minutes in still SDTV but no garbage
44 minutes in finally back HD

NBC garbage until 25 minutes, then normal.

This was for a lowly thunderstorm that had already passed through Milwaukee over an hour before these shows.

Both shows were first run episodes.

Glad I watched last season's finale of NCIS, otherwise I would have been screaming at the TV.

Could someone post the general station complaint addresses so maybe we can get them to be more careful now that the fall season is almost fully running.

The FCC has recently added launguage that puts stations right in the firing line for those with disablitites. Stations have been fined for not providing weather information to both visually and aurally impaired citizens during a storm. You will see more of this from all stations nationwide.

Good. I don't think anyone here is saying they shouldn't have weather updates but there are more appropriate times/placement then what Fox 6 was doing.  Storms were over by then yet it took them 45 minutes to get their crappy weather stuff off the air.  Then it took them another 30 min just to get the show back to HD.  This sucks.  why can't they overlay their crap over HD stuff ??  I like said above I thought Fox had the superior equipment to be able to do that?

Well, at least you got to see your premieres, even if it was litered with warnings. I've been without power since Tuesday evening and have missed several premieres. It's going to screw up a few of my season passes. I'll have to look for repeats of the pilots I guess.

Supposed to have power by Friday morning at the latest. I'll not hold my breath.

Yeah, as if you can find them bigger than 320x240 with 2 channel audio...  :guns:

I just hope that someday, the networks will realize that there is money to be made in downloads. I'd easily pay $3.00 - 5.00 to download a full 1080i DD transport stream of a show I missed. I realize that the typical user doesn't have the bandwith to download 20GB of data, but some of us do.

They can even encrypt it so it only plays once or twice and uses a key generated by my specific hardware setup to avoid copying.

Yeah, that would be nice. I'd be able to download the three or four shows I've missed and be right up to speed. Certainly seems like a viable service to me.

But then they'd have to admit that downloading isn't the ultimate evil as they try to shove down our throats currently.

But this is getting waaay off-topic.
