It took them long enough!  Thanks for the tip.

Bump ;)

Oooohhh,  I can't hardly wait!!

It didn't look that great to me.  Leno and Conan look more sharp and vibrant, but maybe that's just my imagination.

I agree oz. It was a vast improvement but not quite as sharp and nice looking as Leno and Conan have been for me.

It looked great for me with HDMI output, the same as Leno and Conan. Did not check components on my other TV to compare with component ( :) ) Leno and Conan.

Well keep in mind that WMLW 58-2 is taking up bandwidth from CBS 58-1 if you are watching it OTA. There is more digital noise and blocking going on then on Leno or Conan because of it. WTMJ 4-1 has all that bandwidth to itself.

It's not an issue for talking-heads programming like Letterman.  Awesome picture quality... the set looks outstanding.

Well maybe not to your eyes on your set, but on my Sony 34xbr800 direct-view.... I can clearly see more digital noise and blocking in the background then on Leno or Conan. That's always been the case,  although fast moving HD sports like football on 58-1 show more of 58-2's bandwidth stealing effects then late-night shows.. so I agree with you there.

It also doesn't help that Letterman's set is darker and more subdued compared to Leno's bright earthtone set. The darker set makes the digital noise show up a whole heck of alot more in the darker areas of the screen.
