Watching Notting Hill, no sound during commercials?

I'm watching it also on 12-1 with no sound problems at all.  The ads are run in the side channels (no center channel).  Although this version is a little different from the one I have on tape.  Lot's of changes in dialog and Spike's T-shirt has a different message on the back in this version.

Actually I can hear the sub. I changed the audio from digital output to pcm on the HD box and then it worked. What's up?

Nevermind, user error. I had the "speaker B" button pushed on the receiver.
