I figured all you tech guys out there would enjoy this one. I know i have spent too much money on monster cables. It's pretty basic but has some good information.

Discription:
Say goodbye to the bank-breaking audio/video cables at your local electronics superstore. Save your money and build out your home theater DIY style. With a total running time of 45 minutes, Kevin and Dan talk to a broadcast engineer to demonstrate how to make your own high end A/V cables for a fraction of the cost and a "monster" savings.

Download it here.

I'm in the process of downloading it, looking forward to watching it.

I'm not one to buy the "Monster" type cables, I'd rather buy wire and connectors and build them myself.  I've found Jack's Music Factory http://www.jacksmusicfactory.com to have some good quality stuff at reasonable prices.

If anyone is interested in making their own cables, I have cable and RCA ends from MonsterCable that I am looking to get rid of.  I purchased them when I was building my house so that I could run audio and video cables in the wall.  Unfortunately, I had to work on other projects and didn't get around to making the cables.

Here is what I have:
A 200 ft spool of Interlink 200 cable - part number IL200-4R
http://www.monstercable.com/productPage.asp?pin=163

25 PAIRS of RCA ends - part number PL2B
http://www.monstercable.com/productPage.asp?pin=631

Retail cost on these items is just over $450.  I would like to get $150 for the entire lot.  PM me if interested.

You know who has quality A/V cables for great prices is Skywalker Communications in New Berlin. And yes they sell to the general public(despite what the sign on front door says). The 6' component cables I bought were $8 I think.
