Quote from: skilpsThanks to all!! I put a preamp on the antenna and I am getting all the major networks(except 6-1). Otherwise get normal to good for the signal strength. But I still have a bad signal for al of channel 10, 18-1,24-1 and 36-1. Do you think that has something to do with the UHF part of the antenna?

Since you are in Hales Corners, you are very close to the WMYX transmitter.  If you haev a pre amp, make sure it has the FM Trap ON to filter out WMYX.  It could be causing some overload in your receiver.

Digital 10 is actually broadcasted on channel 8 so that will be the VHF part of the antenna.  Are you still using the MANT901?  I did find when experimenting with the MANT901 that if I had the UHF up without the VHF part all of the digitals (including 6) came in perfect.   Thats when I switched out to a Radio shack antenna (will likely switch eventually to Channelmaster vhf/uhf antenna).  Kwinrich may be on to something that if you are that close to the WMYX antenna you should try the FM Trap on the preamp before you switch antennas.

Starting point is always the antenna a good one such as CM 4221 or 4228
should work fine NO amp will be necessary if coax lentgh is less than 100 feet
with properly crimped fittings of good quality, and if the signal is not split AT ALL.
Also always use good quality RG6U cable never RG59 especially for UHF signals.
Aim it correctly and you should get everything unless there is an obstruction.
If you can't crimp your fittings (or use snap-n-seal) then by a premade piece
with ends already on.  Good Luck :)
