I just returned to Directv from Cable and just started using OTA for my local HD recpetion (I couldn't go without Sunday Ticket).  I notice 12-1 comes in most of the time, but 58-1 and 4-1 are much better in the evening, is that normal?

I have D* with OTA reception for the locals.  I use a Winegard "Square Shooter" -- amplified model -- aimed generally at the Estabrook Park antenna farm area.  And, I'm in River Hills, just West of Brown Deer Road.

So, with the exception of Ch 6, I get great reception and signal strength on all the local HD channels, day or night.  Ch 6 is a "no show" on two different receivers.  Ch 58 was a problem, but they are fine with their July fix.  I assume that Ch 6 will also be good as soon as the power increase and antenna package get going.

With the Winegard, the only problem I have is with Ch4 and Ch6 analog, on some older TV sets, but that will be no issue in the future, as those frequencies will go away in a few years.

I'm in River Hills just NORTH of Brown Deer Road, and West of I-43.

Directv was the one who installed my ota and where it is positioned it is blocked somewhat and I think that may be why some of the channels I have a problem with during the day.  I am not too disappointed since I can get 12, Fox HD (88) national all the time and 4 and 58 at night (when most of the shows I want to watch are on).  In the meantime I am willing to wait for them to expand HD channels including locals.  I really have Directv for Sunday Ticket.  Go Pack -- Rosenhaus kind of looks like an idiot right now. :)

Maybe I should have said even more than usual.
