I called Directv about HDnet and the woman told me that all shows are pay-per-view at $4.95 a pop. I can see charging for the sports stuff, but the nature programs and such too?!?!? Anybody with HDnet wanna tell me if it's really true that EVERYTHING is pay-per-view on there!?!? If so, I'm not gonna get it. Sports I'll pay for, the rest I won't!!

Clueless rep ...

She's referring to, more than likely, the PPVs presented overnight. HDNet is 'in the clear' with a Total Choice sub. of some kind.

... at least that's the way mine works !

As the previous response stated HDNET is free to all package subscribers for
Directv.  If you have any sort of Directv service and you have an oval dish and an HDTV reciever you can recieve channel 199.  However it the wee hours of the morning they have PayPerView movies.....but I guess the don't even list what they are and you have to call to find out what is playing.  Otherwise HDNET is included in all Directv plans (like basic cable gives you so much, basic Directv gives you HDNET as one of the basics).
