The LIL HD rollout goes something like this:
Top 12 markets by late summer, early fall. The next 18 largest markets throughout 2006. The next largest 10-15 markets into and through 2007. Milwaukee is currently the 32nd (I think, maybe 31) largest market so we are looking at sometime 2007.

I haven't paid for the HD package (like a lot of people) for at least a year. Doesn't effect me. As far as locals in HD don't you get a good signal in Mequon?

Scott

I get a good signal here except for Fox 6, which pixelates and is unwatchable.

I still like HD discovery channel, and really view HD ESPN as a critical channel.  But I will admit, I am starting to think about switching to the dark side (TWC)

My only hesitation is that the TWC interfaces (channel, DVR, etc.) seem much more a pain than what I have now with DirectTV.   The Direct TV stuff is brilliant, and makes channel surfing much, much more enjoyable.   I probably would get used to the TWC remote, but when I use my sister's at her house, it just seems like such a counterintuitive mess.

IMO, what TWC DVRs lack compared to Tivo boxes is easily made up for with the inDemand content.  Plus if a better box is released, you can exchange your old one for free.

On the bright side, you can always call TWC and try the service out for a month (put D* on hold so you are not charged).  You wont be out anything since install is usually free.  If you dont like it, cancel it.  If you like it, cancel D*.

I know people that have gone from TWC DVR's to Tivo and nobody going from Tivo to TWC DVR's. Must be some reason for that. I thought the inDemand stuff was slow and clunky.

What's the point of having the HD Sunday Ticket game when half of them are blacked out anyways?

First, half of them are not blacked out.

Secondly, the games that are blacked out are the two games (fox & cbs) games that are broadcast by your local affiliates.   You can watch those on your local channels and watch every other game on sunday ticket.

So the short answer is every game that may be blacked out IS available on your local channels.
