What channel has been the HD MVP the last year? I would give it to TNT. They had more televised HD with their NBA games then all the sports of the others combined. They also have NASCAR and I think they do college football once a week. That with the high grade movies they show, and the TV reruns, also their commercials don't burn on your screen,  gives them the nod over FOX, and ABC who are to sporadic with their HD programming. Some may say they don't like the NBA , but the amount of games they've shown, you have to tip your HD cap to them.

I know that Joseph S. would say that it was WISN ...

TNT has HD ?????? Oh wait...thats right....Directv doesn't have TNT-HD...or the new VOOM lineup  that Dish Network has.....but hey..it has plans to slooowly (1-3 years) roll out LIL HD channels starting with the top 30 markets of which Milwaukee is not.....yawn......
I dont know guys....I've been a big Directv supporter but they sure are getting left in the dust when it comes to HD. I am prety unhappy that I can't watch NBA playoff's in HD. I HATE when there is available HD programming on that I want to watch but am unable due to my choice of providers.

Me thinks some changes for the future might be in order.........

Nope ;) I'd have to pick INHD over HDNET on cable overall. Their MLB coverage is head and shoulders above Fox and they offer a decent selection of content from other fields. For OTA, I would pick CBS. ABC has more HD programs I would watch, but CBS is the one that has the regular HD programming I enjoy and doesn't have a problem delivering it to us. Fox just doesn't look as good as the other stations due to the low bitrates and doesn't have the programming. NBC may be a player soon though with the NFL and now Conan in HD along with SNL in HD next year.

Clearly FOX in my opinion.  NFL on FOX in HD was huge......  A giant leap from prior years.

I agree FOX. Although I do bring a sports bias to my opinion.

NASCAR, (crank it up! :D ) NFL, MLB is outstanding.

Although, they do get a kick in the pants the next 2 weekends for moving the races to FX.

Runner up..  Discovery HD. Makes me watch stuff just to admire the picture. Never thought a sunrise could be so engaging.

I gave up on OTA Network programming content long before HD appeared.

NBC a player

Please, they don't have a clue. Did anyone catch their Derby Broadcast? (pitiful) Relagating their HD coverage of the olympics to Bravo, switching problems, etc.

TNT = High grade movies? WITH Commercials. HD or not, sorry unfortunately PQ doesn't always win out over content. (See OTA comment above)

I agree, my MVP would be TNT for the year. The NBA in HD has been great. I have caught several 'newer' movies in HD that looked great and the HD re-runs are not so bad. TNT helped make my switch from DirecTV to TWC worth while (considering how many boxes I have gone through). I would give Fox the runner up for best Sunday afternoons (HD-NFL) and ESPN-HD for Sunday evening (HD-NFL). But that's just my opinion.

And let's not forget, "TNT Knows Drama."

They have two original series coming, both crime drama's,  "The Closer" (June 13) and "Wanted" (July 31). And the big Spielberg mini-series "Into The West" (June 10).

Let's see.
Monday HD MVP is Fox: 24. Second place CBS: CSI Miami.
Tuesday HD MVP is Fox: House. Second place ABS: Blind Justice,
Wednesday HD MVP is ABC: Lost, Alias. Second is CBS: CSY NY.
Thursday HD MVP is CBS: CSI, Without a Trace.
Friday HD MVP is CBS: Numbers.
Saturday HD MVP is HBO: Movie
Sunday HD MVP is ABC: Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewifes.

So, it depends what day you are asking. Today is CBS. :D

PS. I am probably lucky with providers. Went to Voom with free install and free two receivers in July 2004. Enjoyed it until the last day, now have two free OTA tuners. Returned back to Dish and next day after installation (free SuperDish, 61.5 dish, switches, 811 HD receiver and $250 for HD DVR 942 with no Dvr fees). Next day got my 10 Voom originals back. And 942 is the best receiver I ever had. Not only for HD PQ, but SD programs are so good, that I sometimes even watch some SD programming :D. I thought switching to D*, but initial costs and their HD strategy helped me going back to E*. Maybe D* HD LIL plan is a great plan (especially for somebody who cannot get HD locals). But not for me it will not work - I have all locals with OTA.
