DirecTv Problem

I have Directv and am able to receive two of the satelites.  I also use the RCA converter box for HD.  The power rating is in the 80's for all channels.  However, I am unable to recieve channels 203 and 607.  They either are pixelated or don't come in at all.

I called Directv, but they couldn't answer the problem.  Do any of you have any idea?  BTW I flunked Rocket Science 101!

Thanks.

something like this is quite difficult to diagnose remotely.  My advice to you would be to do what I did.  Get a trusted installer.  The following name and number I got from this board and I can certainly attest to his abilities.

Call Jeff Burback at 414-645-2575.  I am quite sure he will make short order of your problem.  He is also very easy to work with.

I know what you mean.  I can get all of the transponders in the high eighties to low ninties, except #16, and that is what TLC is on.

It drives me nuts , because 80 percent of my non-HD viewing is TLC!!!

it seems to be worst right about the time Junkyard Wars is about to go into the final part where the competiton begins.  ARG!!!!!

Speaking of transponders, does anyone know where there is a list posted of what's on what transponder on which bird.  I ask this because I have a feeling my dish is not perfectly aligned because at times I have to channel up and down to get 543 (ShowHD) to lock.

Also try this older linkI bookmarked a while ago. Looks like it has not been updated in the last 6 months. Hope it's still accurate.
