Does anyone have problems receiving WPXE/55 (D40) OTA with a DVICO FushionHDTV 3 Gold Q? Receive a 100% 32.6db signal but no picture or sound.  My Dish 811 tunes it with no problem.

Thanks.

I haven't gotten a signal from them for a couple of weeks now.  I've got a Sylvania tuner, and my signal strength for their station was always around 95.  I just figured that they were having some kind of technical problems, since a full channel scan wouldn't pick them up.

I have no problem on all 3 of my receivers here in Cedarburg...in the 90's, picture and sound are fine.

Did a little checking today at the plant and found the Pids are missing for their PAT and PMT tables (PSIP Info). If you currently receive 55-1 you will continue to do so. If you delete the channel and re-scan you may lose it as I did. Some receivers will find the video/audio streams without those two tables (our Samsung SIR-T150's will) and some receivers will not. Those that don't work without PAT & PMT will see good signal strength with no picture and no sound.  The missing tables are required to be present in the stream.

Thank you, I found a pgm call tsreader lite from coolstf.com that will interpret TS streams. I now see what you mean.

My guess is that WPXE is unfamiliar with their equipment.  They haven't figured out how to put up a programming guide, heck they can't even set the clock....  It could be a while.

RJRobb

Yes, I noticed the guide info was missing also.  I thought they were the sister station to TMJ4.  If TMJ4 can get it right why can't they?

StarvingForHDTV

Perhaps it is lack of effort rather than inability or inexperience.

AndrewP

They just know that nobody watch that chanell :D

Jimboy

Do a re-scan on 55-1 now. They've been up to something.
Although they're not quite done yet.

GBK

the way I understand it they're in the middle of putting in mulicasting.  Adding a bunch of faith programming.

StarvingForHDTV

Well they added a program guide.  Wow, that's a big step!  They also adjusted the date, but didn't get the time correct.  I guess this is a work in progress.

While they are making these revolutionary    changes, might as well tweak the antenna a bit to get rid of some ghosting.....

RJRobb

Yup, finally have picture and sound.  Multicast channels show up, but are not tunable.
