When is Time Warner going to add this? The Sox v Yanks opener is being promoted as being on ESPN2 HD in 4 days. You would think if they have a deal for ESPN HD then ESPN2HD shouldn't be an issue. Looks like it will be the source for many HD events we'll be missing.

Heck, even Telemundo is going forward with HD now. Where are the new channels?

Joel S

It wold be nice of course for TWC to carry this station but from what I've read elsewhere (AVS) essentially nobody is getting this station.  Direct TV has a signed deal for ESPN2 HD but hasn't made it available to customers yet.

That Sox-Yankees game is on ESPN2HD because the womens NCAA final 4 is on the regular channel in HD.  I think there are like 3 HD basebaqll games Monday as well on ESPN2 HD.  Otherwise, I think most baseball throughout the year will be on the ESPN HD channel.  At least we get INHD for watching baseball as well.

Joseph S

The game is here and TWC has once again done nothing to bring customers HD sports!

Yeah NOTHING at all to bring customers HD sports... except for of course ESPN HD... oh yeah and FOX Sports HD... and then the loads of sporting events on the networks and HDNet and iNHD... but besides that... NOTHING.

I would much rather see some more diverse HD channels added instead of yet another ESPN where only 25% of the content will actually be in HD.

Joseph S

They took forever to get ESPN. They've yet to get ESPN2. Blew 3 years of the NCAA sponsoring the blasted multicast. There's nothing but test patterns on FSN except for the very rare HD Brewers game compared to other regional stations which are showing all home and many away in HD. Fox itself hasn't had HD for a full year and TWC doesn't have anything close to the satellite Football HD packages.

I'm all for more stations including Starz, Telemundo, etc. too. TWC has done nothing to bring us new stations including Sports coverage in ages. There's no reason you can't have ESPN2 and other stations. Heck, we've still got the crappy analogs without digital equivalents.

Mark Strube

I'm fine with ESPN2, just as long as other stations are added with it.

Yeah I would like some new HD Sport channels too, but TWC has made it very crear that it will not pay a lot of extra money on channels just to have them. I do agree that after the long wait for ESNP HD, you would think TWC would be working doublely hard to get ESPN2 HD out as soon as possible. ESPN has be a great add on to my HD package though, not complaining about that at all, though they could have put the Women NCCA final on ESPN 2, since I'm pretty sure more ppl watched Open Day.  :p

Lets not forget that TWC is giving us over 160 Cubs and White Sox games now that they have added Comcast Sports Net

Joseph S

TWC Milwaukee certainly has not! What TWC are you using?

FiberOptic

I am in Kenosha, it is on channel 49 now

SD only? That would still fit the TWC no new HD model. SD local networks showing the local teams have been around since the early 80s and freebies since the early 90s, not seeing much of a nice edition if they only gave SD. We here in TWC Milwaukee got nothing, of course.

So I was wrong, Comcast Sports on TWC...like I would watch something from Illinois to begin with in Kenosha...but it is still  in ugly analogue!

The point of this thread is HD Channel ADDITIONS!!!

Hint: We have got none...no more for a long time and no excuses are allowed!
