There were a tremendous number of dropout during the Badger Game. Especially at the end! I think it was CBS since they switched from HD to SD. Anyone else experience that?

yes ...I noticed a few glitches also especially towards the end of the game .Seems cbs has probs cause I noticed it during the uw milw. game also! :bang:

Yes it was bad last night also. From the other posts it seems that all of the channels have been having problems. The interesting thing is according to my Diagnostics (Channel 611) the signal reverted from QAM to Analog! At one point after the game was over the signal disappeared altogether.  :bang:

I don't think it was so bad. Maybe not perfect with some (less then 5) dropouts here with CBS58 OTA in Muskego.
They can do better. But at least it was HD. :)

True! Thanks WDJT for broadcasting in HD!!!  :guitar: -

BUT TWC certainly has been having trouble with CBS. See this thread :guns:

CBS was most differently having issues. There was a point in the game that, I lost the signal completly and had to swich back to normal TV.

I've been watching the games all this weekend OTA and there have been the scattered pixalations, but other than that, no problems from West Bend.

For about a week now, CBS 58 is again beginning to fade on the south side of Racine, just as it has in the two previous years when Spring arrives.  Seems to happen right around April 1st each year.  The signal is very weak (unwatchable) until sunset and then I'm able to receive a fairly marginal feed.  On Sunday, although my signal strength meter was showing a strong signal (in the 50's), there was no picture/sound until sunset, when it kicked in.  I was able to view both overtimes in HD which was nice as I had a house full of sports nuts.  But, as I just stated, I had to wait for sunset to display the high quality HD experience to them.  I know that there are others who believe that summer is a good time to receive digital signals.  But, for CBS 58, that signal is adversely affected by warmer weather down here on the south side of Racine.  On a side note, after my guests viewed most of the game in non-HD format, when I was able to make the switch to HD, I saw a lot of jaws drop.  On the other hand, they all said they wouldn't make a purchase until the problems with signal strength are cleared up.

I believe the problem did originate at 58.  I started watching the game on 58 and had problems with drop out.  At one point the 58 signal disappeared all together.  Finally turned the antenna to Green Bay and had no further problems on WFRV channel 5.

To hggeorge and others watching CBS HD over the air on Saturday night, I'm curious to know when the problems started and if they ended that night.  My signal on CBS HD on TW was showing some digital artifacts around 5:30pm, became unwatchable shortly after 6pm, but by 6:30pm all problems resolved.   I'm wondering if weather was a factor?

Happy to report that the games on TWC 505 did not have any audio/video problems! :D Wish I could say the same about the Badgers but then again I didn't really expect them to win  ;) Glad things are cool here in Mukwonago.
