Been a couple days now... and it's happening on both TWC (both on Live signal as well as stuff I've Recorded) and OTA. My receiver has been acting flakey on me, so I just want to see if others are experiencing the same problem.

OTA had no audio problems here on any of the 3 receivers.  No audio dropouts at work on any of the boxes....standard, hd or hd-dvr.  Everything is cool here.

What's going on lately?
Some of us are having problems with ABC while others are having sound problems watching Idol on Fox...
Then there's me with a totally messed up NBC HD and some Fox HD...is it something the way the March Madness channels are getting sandwiched in channel-wise or bad feeds all-at-once and sometime we get (un)lucky?

My ABC HD has been fine, along with CBS HD...it is pretty confusing!

12-1 is good... just took a little wire jiggling... not sure why the problem only happened when I was tuned to 12-1... but it's OK now.

I don't recall the exact date (couple weeks ago) it must have been ch5 HD (Green Bay) because we were watching one of the dozen or so CSI's when the sound went missing.  But just the voices.  Music and other sounds were there.  Switched to SD ch5 and all sounds were there.  Checked a few other HD channels and all were fine.  We watched it on SD until the next commercial then went back to HD.  Everything was back to normal.  So some occasional weird stuff must be happening.  Gives my wife fodder to tease me about our investment into the HD world.

Not sure if this has anything to do with sound being dropped but I'll share in hopes it helps someone out there.  And this only applies to those of us using HDMI or DVI cables.  My Toshiba HDTV has this alert in the setup instructions.  And I quote...
"To ensure that the HDMI or DVI device is reset properly, it is recommended that you follow these procedures:
*When turning on your electronic components, turn on the TV first, and then the HDMI/DVI device.
*When turning off your electronic components, turn off the HDMI/DVI device first, and then the TV.

Any comments from the experts out there?

P.S. I've never consciously followed this procedure.

Happened again with CSI Monday night.  At the very beginning of the program just the voices were missing.  The rest of the sounds were there.  This lasted only about 5 or 10 seconds then was ok.  Again it was channel 5 GreenBay.
