New firmware?

I picked up my new SA8300HD box this morning... and they said it might not even work until the afternoon since they're upgrading something in their systems. Well, the box booted up, and works, however the HD package doesn't come thru. This is usually fixed by either another reboot or a call to customer service for them to reset the box. They tried resetting it several times but said that it would have to get reset later, since there's an upgrade going on.

Is this routine maintenance? Is there a firmware upgrade in the works? New features? New chanels? Any knowledge (or rumors) are appreciated!  :wave:

Nope.  Nothing you itemized on your list is going on right now.
I have been 'planting seeds' over the past month about adding another HD channel and have been watering them weekly.  Hopefully something will sprout soon!

So the 8300 is now available through TWC?  Is the HDMI port active?  I've been waiting for TWC to put out the Firmware upgrade that enables the DVI port on the 8000 box, which was made available a few weeks ago, but if I can get the new 8300 HD-DVR i may just get that if the HDMI is active...
