Xbox Recall

Old news but I thought I should post this here since Xbox tends to be the console of choice in most HD setups.

Apparently some Xboxes have been catching on fire!

Anyone with an Xbox manufactured before Oct 2003 will want to go to this site to see if their console is affected by the recall.

Last week when I first heard about the recall I went to the URL above but after entering my information (build date of 8/2001) they said I didn't qualify. Then on Thursday I got home from work and there was a letter from MS saying I did have a box that qualified and I needed to either go to their website or call a toll-free number. I tried the website again w/no luck but when I called the number the automated system confirmed I do get a new cord.

Basically my point is if you get turned down on the website try calling their number. I can post it laer if anyone needs it.
