Just happened to be talking with someone from CBS this morning (they called me on business) and our discussion went to HDTV.  Did you know that the only true HighDef program CBS has is The Young and the Restless.  All other offerings are converted from film, thus the amount of grain in the conversion, whereas Y&R is done directly from 1080i/24 digital recordings.  Just though inquiring minds would like to know.

interesting info.  

As I do not watch the "soaps" I guess I am not loosing much after all then.  I truly enjoy the non-converted material.  It is such eye candy.  Wish we had a source that the stores could turn on so people could see what they are missing.  Hmmmm, maybe HD Net?
