Cable Makes Art from Dishes

The competitive battles between cable and satellite TV are getting creative. Adelphia, Charter and Time Warner Cable are holding an eight-week art contest called "Dish It Up!" giving students residing in their local system territories in the Southern California region a chance to create artwork from used satellite dishes. Each cable operator will award first, second and third place cash prizes for "Dish Masterpieces" in their respective service areas, the companies said.
