Picture anomaly on my LCD

Recently I've noticed a small greenish circle on the right side of my screen. It's very faint, and only visible when the picture is black (such as movie credits), you can't notice it any other time. It's no bigger than about an inch diameter. Should I be worried? It doesn't really bother me, since it's only slightly noticeable when there's a black picture, but seeing as the screen's under warranty, should I do something? I'd just hate to have to make an appointment, have them come out, mess with my equipment etc etc if it's no big deal. (I'm referring to the Sony in my signature below.)

EDIT: now that I'm looking at my tv more, there's a tiny green speck in the middle upper area of the picture. I tried 2 different inputs, and it shows up for both of them. (When I switch inputs it goes away for a second and then returns.) Is this a dead pixel? Do extended warranties cover this type of thing usually? (I bought it from American)

EDIT2: oook now I'm noticing a bunch of these tiny specks. Barely noticeable from far away, if at all, but clearly visible up by the screen.  :(
no matter what's on the screen they don't change color, as if the light is just passing thru or something of the sort.

I would get it fixed or replaced if possible.
