DirecTV Adds GolTV

DirecTV said it will add GolTV, the 24-hour all-soccer network, to the DirecTV Para Todos programming lineup and DirecTV Sports Pack in February. GolTV will be available at no extra charge to customers who subscribe to the DirecTV Para Todos Opcion Ultra Especial con Canales Locales programming package for $39.99 a month or the sports package for $12 a month.

DirecTV Also Helps Tsunami Efforts - EchoStar's DISH Network isn't the only platform delivering relief to tsunami victims. DirecTV also aired last weekend the ICC (International Cricket Council) XI and Asian XI cricket teams, which played a match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground last weekend that was delivered via pay-per-view. Just like DISH Network, DirecTV said plans to donate proceeds from the pay-per-view special also will be donated to tsunami relief efforts.

NFL Playoff Replays! - For the NFL playoffs, NFL Network is producing special editions of Game of the Week, shooting all 11 playoff games in high-def. Tonight, the network will show the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers Wild Card game from last weekend, with the game airing at 9 p.m. Eastern. HD replays of divisional playoff games will be shown next week.
