Silicon Optix and IceFyre Semiconductor will demonstrate the first full bandwidth wireless HDTV streaming video platform during the 2005 International CES. Demonstrations will be held at the Marriott Suites Hotel, Las Vegas, NV from January 6th to 9th, 2005.
This partnership offers a demonstration system design featuring IceFyre's high-performance SureFyre(TM) Wireless LAN (WLAN) solution and Silicon Optix's award- winning Realta Hollywood Quality (HQV) video processing platform.

The demonstration system delivers High Definition (HD) video content with "wire-like" quality throughout harsh residential and commercial environments. Back-to-back comparison with an available Silicon Optix demonstration featuring wired distribution of the same HD content, proves availability today of "wire-like" distribution of HD and Standard Definition (SD) content via cost-effective, standards-based WLAN-enabled HD systems.

"Wireless video distribution to HDTV displays is an important step in bringing home theater to the masses," said Dennis Crespo, vice president of marketing, Silicon Optix.

"We're excited to be working with IceFyre as we realize this market opportunity will be accelerated by combining superior performing WLAN systems with high quality video systems. Further, our customers expect us to continue leading the HDTV market by offering them a more complete application solution."

"Creating a strong partnership with a market leader such as Silicon Optix is a pivotal step in IceFyre's market strategy. IceFyre and Silicon Optix will deliver the industry's first viable, standards-based Wireless HDTV system solution," said Dan Mathers, president and chief executive officer of IceFyre Semiconductor. "IceFyre will continue to demonstrate our leadership position in delivering on the need for ever-increasing wireless bandwidth in support of multimedia networking applications."
