I need a recommendation for an HD antenna that will work in the basement of my home in Oak Creek.

Thanks

Tom Snyder

I was absolutely amazed at the reception I got from the Radio Shack Double Bow Tie that they're clearing out now for $10.. outperformed my amplified RCA rabbit ears.

But that's up on a shelf 10 feet off my living room floor. Don't know how it will workj in the basement.

Mine didn't work too well in my basement in Greenfield. In fact, it didn't work at all. I ended up putting the double bow-tie the rafters in my garage, but then later upgraded it to a outdoor style antenna.

Can you run a cable from your basement out to your garage?

I actually have a cable run from my media room in the basement out to the pole where my DirecTV dish used to be so I can put it outside (albeit on the South side of the house)

Good idea - let the neighbors look at that ugly thing

Is the pole low enough to allow for manual adjustments?

Is it high enough to clear the roofline?

Don't think the little bowtie artform would hold up to the elements, but with a little more information on where/how that post is located, maybe we can brainstorm this one a little more.

Yes and no.  The pole is only about 5' off the ground so yes on the adjustments however, no on the roofline.   I would rather not put an antenna on my house as my wife would have me killed..Thanks for all your help
