QuoteAuto scan your QAM tuner again... I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Don't see 118 or 124. Lots of ad junk at the top then 105, 106, 107,147, 148, 149, 150, 151, 152

To bring back up the unencrypted TWC HD locals topic, is anyone currently using this way to grab their HD?  I just bought a RCA DTC-100, and from the .pdf user guide, sounds like you can use it to pick up OTA and cable signals from 2 RF inputs on the box.  Until I physically get the receiver in the mail, I won't be able to test this stuff...but since it's used and the company only gives a 2-day DOA warranty, I need to have everything in place so I can test it when I receive it.

I currently have TWC Digipic 2000 as well as Roadrunner.  I plan to take one of the raw cable connections to connect to the DTC-100 and scan to see what it picks up.  Should I expect to find 504, 505, 506, 510, 512?  Or is the transmission standard TWC uses on those channels different than what the RCA receiver uses?

If I can pick up these channels with just my RR (or worst case, paying for the bare-bones basic service minus a rented converter box), I'd love to do that.  If I know that'll work as of now, I won't even bother looking for an antenna quite yet.

The main reason for these questions is I plan on joining the YMCA soon, and the money has to come from somewhere...so I figure if I can drop some of my monthly cable costs, I will.

You should get all the local OTA stations, minus $incair's stations. You will also get bunch of preview stations for InDemand/TWC programming. I'm not sure if the numbering is standard on all QAM tuners. I assume you wouldn't need the HDTV package to receive them, but can't verify as I have the HDTV package.

Also, if I get a TV with a built-in HD Tuner, would I likely be able to pick up the HD-WB signal with an indoor antenna?  Right now I live in the north side of Milwaukee, but I'll be moving to Oak Creek in a couple of months.

Their tower is located on MATC property. DTV Channels 10, 18, 24, and 36 are on that tower.  In fact it is right next to the old ch. 18 analog tower.  I am sure ch. 18 analog is still there, not sure if 10 & 36 analog are still there or if they moved to the new tower next to it  which houses all their DTV equipment.  So basically in the TV antenna farm area.  So you living on the north side should be able to get it with a indoor antenna.  I live in Muskego and rely on a outdoor amplified antenna.  Though I probably don't need the amp for Milwaukee stations but being a DXer I love to try other TV stations in far away cities.
