My television set has limited connections on the rear.  I cannot plug in two inputs using component video cables.  Has anyone purchased a cable that has DVI on one end and component input plugs on the other?  If yes, where?....Has anyone else had any problems setting up the HDDVR from TW?...(the television is only about two years old, Philips HD widescreen)..Thanks for the help.

Sorry DVI and component are different animals and you can't mix they aren't compatible.  The only backwards compatible to DVI is HDMI.  DVI is a digital video link and HDMI is a digital video link with digital audio included.  Component is an analog version of high bandwidth HD signal.

Sorry.

Ditto. I was looking for one so that I could get the HD-DVR. PAcificcables does make a unit that will work, but it is $500-$900. I lost the link their rep sent me..sorry!

This isn't answering the question, but it is the solution to a limited number of component inputs that I have been using for a couple of years now.

An improved version for less money.  An even better answer.

Here is one that Best Buy carries for $99

It is marketed as a video game selector, but it has a few component video connections.
