NFL Game of the Week HD?

NFL Game of the Week on the NFL Channel D* 212 is listed as HD.  I tune to this station and no HD.  What gives?

I'm not a D* subscriber, but I do know that 212 is not an HD capable channel.  I think D* puts this on on the the HD special events channels.

The info in the guide lists the program as HD.  I know that currently D* has its HD channels on 73-99.  I'm guessing that the HD on NFL GOTW is a guide error.

I just asked directv that very question. here's what they said:

Thanks for writing DIRECTV. High definition is available on some NFL Network programs. These are available in high definition with HD Package on channel 84. NFL Films Presents" is in HD on Wednesdays at 9PM ET. High definition is not currently available on channel 212.

Well I have the HD package and do not get channel 84.  Do I need NFL ST to get this channel?  

...still very odd that D* would list an HD program on 212.

I think maybe this is a new and not yet debugged thing. I think that ch84 is only active when nfl game of the week is on. But I will believe it when I see it.

I haven't checked this year, but it's not new. They did do it last season, and yes, channel 84 is only active when they have special events programming on.

I just watched NFL GOTW on channel 98 tonight.  It appears that the channel is only active during this program.  Luckily for us, this week was Minesota vs Green Bay.  It was nice to see the Pack again in HD.  D* will air a replay again tonight at 11PM.
