Channel Spam on D*

I have been a D* suscriber for about 5 years now. I still use one of my original Hughes Gold receivers in the bedroom but since upgrading to HD in the living room in January 2004 I use a LG box.

I have a problem with the LG box I still have never had with the Hughes. Every day new channels show up on my "Custom" menu. I can delete all of them and some will pop up later the same day. It's usually NFL or NBA channels I don't subscribe to and there is always a PPV channel (usually channel 170 or 190)which usually looks like it must have Gay Porn movies (titles like Boys in Leather).
Last week the JEEP channel popped up which had a commercial for the new JEEP running 24/7!

Is there a cure for this? Would complaining to D* help? It really gets annoying. BTW a friend with the exact same receiver except with the SONY name on it has the same problem.

Most of those channels are not new.  The NFL and NBA Channels are part of their respective packages.  Some receivers don't filter those out automatically.  The other channels like the JEEP channel are new and are also not filtered.  We used to have an RCA box and that used to filter out the new channels that would show up.
