Anyone else on TWC notice that inHD1 and 2 are not working properly?

Mark Strube

Works fine for me. What do you mean by not working 'properly'?

Try holding down the power button on your cable box while it's on, until it says 'boot' on the screen. Then, once the correct time is displayed, turn the box back on, and let it reload the firmware etc.

Also maybe try giving TWC a call, sometimes your box just needs a reset from them.

Either the channel is not showing up at all, or it is so pixelated that it is unwatchable.

I'll give your suggestion a try.

One other thing to take note of... the other HD box in our house, goes thru a lot more splits than the HD-DVR which I use. This isn't a very big deal to us since it's hooked to a standard television... but it tends to have pixelization issues with inHD and only inHD while the box with the stronger signal doesn't. You may have a weak signal due to location or too many splits in the line.

The above process does not reload firmware.  It simply reboots the set top.
You most likely have level issues, or a loose fitting somewhere in the house.  First make sure all connections are more than finger-tight and that you are not using push-on connectors.  They all should be threaded fittings.  Then call for a service call if problems persist.

I used to have the same issue with INHD1 &INHD2.  Someone from TW came out and installed a signal amplifier and it has worked perfectly since.  I would have a TW tech come out and check your signal.

I do have a splitter in the line.  I'll see what happens when I remove it.
