While watching Smallville last night I saw an ad that said they'd be airing Fellowship of the Ring in HD sometime soon.  I have TWC, so I can't get it, but I'm definitely hanging out at my friend's place that night.  I love movies in HD... it's like watching a completely different movie when they're so clear.  :)

Anyone catch the date/time?

Tom Snyder

I saw that too! Missed the date, though... was too busy farting around with my antenna. Never could get more than a 47 signal strength and the lockups were so frustrating I ended up having to watch it in SD. Blah!

I think that movie sparks the start of DD 5.1 sound for the WB network.  I hope the equipment is in place by then at 18-1.

Hey Jimboy,

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I'm wondering if there has been any changes in broadcast power or anything else that might have effected my reception of WB18? I used to be able to lock in on the signal just fine here on the south side of Greenfield (College and 27th), but I'm not having any luck recently.

Can you point your transmitter a little more in my direction or something?  :)

Excellent news!!  Thanks for the update.

This is going to be a commercial free presentation I hope?

no, and likely not OAR either, but it will be the first time outside of Dish PPV or the ever elusive StarzHD that you will be able to see LOTR:FOTR in HD and 5.1 audio.

In that case, it's my opinion the DVD presentation wins hands down.  :)
