I have Time Warner cable right now.  The only stations I get in HD are one HBO and a PBS HD demo channel.  I'd like to get the major networks programs in HD also.  Are my only options to wait until TWC starts to offer them in HD or buy a STB and an antenna?  Is there any way to hook an antenna up to the box TWC provided and receive the networks?

You're in the same boat as the rest of us with TWC.  You're correct about your two options: waiting or buying a set-top box for OTA transmissions.

The problem is that TWC hasn't been forthcoming as to when exactly they plan on adding the local HD channels to their lineup.  Considering they just started to offer HDTV in the Milwaukee area, I would suspect that possibly in June at the earliest. (I'm hoping that they decide to pick up the Discovery HD channel when it's launched in June.)

And no, you can't hook an antenna to the cable box itself -- You'll need purchase another box for that (and if you're going to spend the money, I'd seriously be looking at getting DirectTV and getting HDNet anyway.)

I suspect the next question you'll have is who to talk to at TWC for answers.  Truth is, I dunno. I think a lot of us here have tried various options and haven't gotten anywhere.

Hate to paint the bleak picture, but like I said, TWC hasn't exactly done much to answer our HD questions.
