FoxHD goes up on D* tomorrow. Our feed will be channel 86 (Fox East). If it is not up for you tomorrow and you qualify for Milwaukee locals, give D* a call to get it turned on.

That is all.

P.S. This won't do much for the Packer fans here but should still get you SOME NFL football in HD as well as the Fox lineup.

After last night game, nothing the Packers do will do much for the fans. :bang:

doh. disregard the previous contents of this post. Fox was on the satellites but apparently isn't right now. it was pulled for technical difficulties. It may/should be up later today.

Almost 3:00 and still nothing...

According to AVS, there is technical difficulties, but shopuld be up and running for the baseball game tonight.

Per AVS Forums:

News Corp agreed to a number of very specific items to obtain government approval to buy DirecTV. This may be part of the issue.

So we could have 3 potential issues keeping FOX off D*:
1) Maybe Dish related
2) Maybe gov related
3) Maybe other

Rumors are that DISH is threatening legal action.  May be awhile before it's on.

This is starting to be comical. Why is it that lately, every time D* is supposed to get some new HD programming, it either doesn't happen or it gets delayed.

I mean, are we actually supposed to believe the forums when they state that D* subscribers are going to get TNT-HD or Fox, when suddenly... nothing.

I have always been a pretty loyal DirecTV subscriber, but I am seriously starting to wonder why. Unfortunately, I was foolish enough to get another D* box, and with it, another 12 month contract...otherwise I would drop D* in a west allis minute and switch to Voom. But since I'm stuck for now, I guess I'll get to find out if D* can redeem itself.

He didn't. He lifted that pic off of the AVS boards where there are a privileged few that have 'test' receivers. The channel is still not available to the average subscriber.

Maybe not on channel 86, but I subscribe to the HD package on DirectTV and watched the Red Sox/Yankees game last night on channel 6.1 in full high definition and DD 5.1 surround and it was awesome!

Channels 86 and 87 are still not showing up in my guide, even after re-programming and checking listings a day or two out, which leads me to believe that they'll leave the Fox national feed on channel 6.1.

What you're getting on 6-1 is OTA and is not coming to you via DirecTV. I'm still receiving zilch on 6-1 as I always have with Fox broadcastly locally at such a low power.

6-1 is Milwaukee's Fox affiliate Fox 6.  This channel is available free OTA and you don't need to subscribe to D* HD package to get this channel.  The same can be said for 4-1, 10-1 - 10-7, 12-1, 18-1, 24-1, 36-1, 55-1, and 58-1 - 58-2.  These channels listed above can be viewed (in MOST of the Milwaukee viewing area) for free with an OTA antenna connected to an HD tuner.

On the contrary, I would have loved to see it.
