CSI marked as Repeat on TWC

My DVR did not record CSI last night because the menu guide had it marked as a repeat when it was actually a new episode.

I put a call into TWC just to make them aware. The girl was actually pretty sharp, but I don't know if it will ever get to the right person.

Somebody has to be more careful if they are going to ask us to put our trust into their programming guide for our DVR's. I know they buy that menu data from someplace else, but TWC ultimately has to be responsible.

it wasn't just TWC.. it was a CBS issue. the tivo says it was a repeat also with an original air date of 9/30/2204. I'm assuming it had to do with the presidential debates last week.

and for the record that's why I set almost every season pass to record all... about the only time I haven't done that is when I am recording a show that syndicates every day on the same channel (Macolm, Stargate, etc)

Pros and cons both ways. Your right about Stargate. Without saying new, you get it over and over again even if you tie it to a "channel only" and a "day only". If you tie to a "time only", that will be the week they change the time on you and you won't get the recording. "New episode only" actually works pretty well if they do their job right.

I changed almost everything to 'new episode only" to stop all the re-runs all summer. Maybe I need to re-think.
