Is anyone experiencing the digital audio dropouts?  It started around 8:00 PM tonight and is still persisting.  It seems to be affecting all channels above 99.

When this happened to me a couple of weeks ago, I called TWC and went through their automated phone system. When I told them I was having problems, the system automatically did a "reset" of my equipment and this cleared up my problems immediately. It was fast too - my cable box didn't even power off.

I've noticed when my SA is recording 2 HD shows at once, there are loads of audio dropouts and lots of pixelization. To avoid this, make sure you don't have two HD recordings scheduled at the same time, and flip around in some analog or standard digital channels to be sure it's passively recording that and not another HD channel... and then put on your HD show and record it if you wish, that should clear up your problems.
I don't experience any problems when it's recording an HD channel and a SD analog or digital channel at the same time. Only when it's trying to record two HD channels at the same time. Hopefully this problem will get cleared up with the next update (anyone know?).

I've kinda learned to deal with the dropouts. They happen on every HD show we watch on TWC. I've talked to others and they have the same problem on TWC,  not sure what our options are? I'd say it's the box, but I had the same problem when I had the non-DVR SA box.

I never had the issues before I got the DVR, but I had the Pioneer box. I didn't know they had non-DVR SA HDTV boxes?
The method I gave works pretty reliably for me.

I followed the advice of Oz and rebooted the box (held down the power button for +5 seconds).  After that the problem I had went away.  Note that this fixed when there was barely any audio coming out of the box.  This does not fix the random audio dropouts that occur here and there.

There were several last night watching ER on 504.  I looked at the BER and it said 2.8x10-5 which I understand is pretty bad.

ER was giving me dropouts as well. I was watching it live with no recording going on, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't the box.

I was watching it live as well w/o recording.  I know the were some problems in the line due to the BER numbers.
