Did WTMJ-DT increase Power?

Hopefully Sean from TMJ can lighten me on this.

I just read on another board that someone mentioned that WTMJ-DT increased their power to 1,000 kW ERP.  Is this true?

Sorry for the delay – I wanted to double check with engineering.

There's been no change in power on WTMJ-DT. We've been at 1000kw since we went on the air at 5:34pm on Nov. 3rd 2000.

Yeah, I don't think I have ever heard someone complain about having to tweak their antenna to get your digital signal.  The linked page could be updated to talk about some of the displays which have 720 lines of resolution these days versus the 1080 lines mentioned on that page.

I really liked this quote at the bottom of the page:
