CBS 58-1 Out ??

I am getting a "searching for signal" on CBS right now. Is it me or are they down now ?

No signal for 1-1 or 58-1 on my LG DVR or my Samsung 360.  Kinda pissed because I was going to set my DVR to record CSI:NY while my wife watched Law & Order.

No OTA or cable signal. Total failure tonight. No word on websight what happened. On the bright side, there's always CBS3-1 out of Madison at full power.

It's out on TWC as well.  I wonderd why my HD-DVR stopped recording CSI:NY, I guess it could tell that there was no signal on the HD channel.  Glad I caught it shortly after it started to get it on the SD channel.

It is very funny, I called Cbs58 yesterday about OTA digital signal problem. The answer was everything was OK.
Ha-Ha-Ha.
I am receiving since yeasterday a very solid WGNHD signal from Chicago, even WFLD, WZZM (Abc News on cch. 13-2) with some distortions coming in.  And these signals are far away then Cbs58
one. Missed CSI-NY...

I heard from Jim Hall at CBS-58

There's a piece of equipment called a combiner.  It takes several of the amplifer modules and combines the power to the final output.  Their combiner fried.

The good news is that they have a new one being shipped in for arrival today.  But as always... anything can happen that might delay the arrival and installation.

This is the third one of these that has burned up on on those guys, so they are working with the manaufacturer as to find out what the cause might be.

But they're doing everything they can to get it back up ASAP, and keep it from happeneing again.

yeah, the wife still reocrds a number of shows on the SD DirecTivo as well.. she says "Oh, don't worry, I recorded CSI:NY in the bedroom." I asked, "Why?" "Because you never know if things are going to record out here."

Well, after much debating I finally got her to agree that aside from the incompatibilities between 58 and the Tivo and now this that it has been very reliable. Though the CSI:NY season pass is staying on her Tivo for now.

Yeah... I wanted to watch CSI last night but no luck.

Ah well... as long as i don't lose inHD... looking forward to the movie trailer show at 5.

Let's hope they will fix it by Sunday NFL or Monday CSI Miami at least.
