Rumors are going around from the in the know internet personalities saying TNT-HD should be on DirecTV within the next week. The equipment is in place and the contract should be signed this week.

This is not based on any information I have, but from site-ops around the net.

If it is true, TWC will only have two fulltime channels that DirecTV doesn't (inHD 1 & 2), though DirecTV will have more overall non-local HD programming.

:)

By that non-local HD programming, BravoHD+ and the PPV HD channel? Then in count, excluding of course, HD locals, Directv and TWC will be even 2 for 2...IN HD 1 and 2 for Bravo HD+ and PPV HD....right?:D

You are right... I was wrong in my math.

My hope is that sometime in the near future both cable and sat will have so many HD channels we will easily lose count of them.:D
Thanks for the post, borghe....looks like there are 3 open slots in the 70's for the Directv channels, one especially for TNT-HD.
Additionally, if you look closely, the HD section of the Directv webpage offers a clue that more is coming as the Bravo HD symbol in missing on one webpage, as if waiting to at least add the TNT-HD one, and on the spot where they added Bravo HD+ to the list of HD package offerings, the webpage as space for the TNT-HD channel as well.
IF Directv gets the TNT-HD channel, Dish Network will have to grab the Bravo HD+ channel, or be left out in the HD package competition as it has the TNT-HD channel already, but not the other one.:)

well, the rumor has been upgraded by everyone in the know.. :p

TNT-HD WILL be on DirecTV sometime between today and Tuesday. Again don't believe it until you see it but everyone is saying the contract is signed and the feed is ready to go.
