Directv is coming today to upgrade me to HD. They will be installing a winegard sensar antenna. I live in the center on West bend, will this antenna work for me? If not any suggestions how to make it work, or antennas that do. I prefer not to have the big mount on the roof. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Troy

Which model sensar is it?  If you want Fox out of Milwaukee, it better be a large one.  Are you going to mount it "fixed"? Or are you installing a rotator to grab Green Bay signals?

It is a GS1000. No I won't use a rotator, I just want Milwaukee.

Well how did they do?

If it doesn't work for you may want to do an attic mounted antenna as opposed to the big ones on the roof.   Maybe someone up in that area can tell you what channels you should be able to expect.

I know a lot of people on this forum have good sucess with Kemmer TV.  I think they are up in Sussex.   I can say he did a nice install on an attic mount for me and he is a super nice guy too.  Good luck!

That antenna should work for you for the stronger stations. I doubt it will pick up WITI, but never say never.

As for attic installations, I've had an antenna in the attic for years and it works great. I live just east of West Bend. I could get everything but Fox with the attic setup. I recently installed a tower with a rotator and now I can Fox as well as all the Green Bay stations and a couple out of Madison.

6 analog comes in, but no digital, 58 I get nothing. 4,12,10,18,24,36 all come in.

I guess I will just be watching football  on those channels today in non HD.. Thank God for ST.
