BravoHD+ on DirecTV "soon"

Well, this is as official as it gets.. apparently at 8:30am this morning D* activated BravoHD+ for a very brief amount of time (less than 1/2 an hour). It was on channel 74 and had no guide data (to be announced) but was in fact the Bravo HD channel.

A D* employee is saying that the channel launch is being held up a little longer by negotitations though is expected to come up "soon". When asked if soon meant days or weeks all he would say is "sooner than you would expect."

Will post more as it becomes available, though in the meantime D* subs with the HD package may want to keep checking on channel 74.

ok, update.. apparently the channel only went away for normal subscribers though it is still there for "test" systems. those "users" are still reporting that the channel is live and active.

So it looks like it may be very soon indeed.

sorry.. been busy all night.. BravoHD+ went on air on DirecTV immediately before the US Open at 6pm our time tonight. West Wing is on right now as we speak.. I know I already voted I wasn't interested in either TNT or Bravo in my poll, though speaking as an HD enthusiast I CAN say I would rather have the ALL HD channel on my provider.

The channel is included as part of the HD Package.. any of you guys who subscribe, tune to Channel 74 to check it out. Grats to DirecTV for stepping up to the HD plate..
