HD from WB18

It sure is nice to see the HD streaming from WB18. I watched some of Gilmore Girls and One Tree Hill. Those aren't shows I typically watch, but I had to check out the HD programming.

Well, I noticed.

Got home at about 7:50 knowing the Tivo is set to record.. Flip right to the channel which is almost done. SD. Rewind a ways, SD. Finally I see a number of areas that are HD (including a target commercial? see other post). I stop on them, no sound. I check around, nothing, no sound. So it seems that whenever HD was up sound wouldn't work. Well, can't fault them for that.

Finally like 10-20 minutes into the second episode HD kicked in with sound working.

Good job guys. Nothing wrong with getting the kinks worked out. As long as the system is working 100% by September 22nd do as much as you need to.

BTW, did you guys check out the "trailer" for the Smallville season premiere!!?!? OMGWTF!!!?!?! WOW! That was awesome! Flying Clark, everyone dead or dying from the season finale of last weekend, and Lionel just turning into an all out straight up evil SOB! Man that was a great trailer. Not to mention Clark with a little red piece of cloth falling from his back.

I'm glad the bugs are being worked out.  That was my first Smallville experience.  I plan to continue watching the show.  Maybe The WB has more shows that I like?  So far 2 out of the 3 titles I have watched in HD have been worth tuning in for again in the future.

Although I normally don't watch WB, I did tune it last night for SmallVille.  I notice when I tuned in for the first episode it was SD but later when I went back (about 8:15) it was full HD.  Glad to see even WB has a better signal than FOX.  Really looking forward to UPN getting there also so I can watch Enterprise, one of the few Network shows I actually watch anymore.

For you guys who aren't regular Smallville viewers, if you at all like Superman or good action adventure, Smallville is minute for minute one of the best views on TV.. The season finale from this year is possible one of the greatest cliffhanger endings in all of TV.. at least for many many years in recent memory. HD is like double fudge icing on a devil's food cake.. actually I can't wait for them to replay the cliffhanger. Can't wait for it in HD.. the only episodes I would love more than the finale are the prohetess one, the boy who can see your death (we just missed that last week I think), or the two parter with Christopher Reeve.

Todd, yes, I check Krypton Site. I have been laying a little low for now though in anticipation of not ruining any suspense.. though I noticed Allison Mack was in the WB promo spot during smallville... not like they could have kept her dead..
