Anyone know what channel 30's problem is.  They've been off for almost a week.  Even though they have a lousy over the air signal (poor video quality ect), there are a few programs that they air that I like to watch.  I know we have a few station engineering people here from other stations...anyone have the scuttlebutt.

The paper this morning said they lost some part in their transmitter costing many (45?) thousands to replace.

Which begs the question, how will they install a DTV transmitter when all the waivers finally run out.  And how will they pay for the addn'l costs of running that transmitter?  Me thinks that this may push a lot of religious stations into the for sale column.  They'd be better off renting one of the subchannels on another DTV station or going cable only.
