To let everyone know, DirecTV is regularly offering customers who purchase an HD Tivo a $200 credit to their account upon activation.

The unit is readily available online at both Best Buy and Circuit City. DirecTV themselves are expected to begin selling them by the end of August.

Just call DirecTV and tell them you are purchasing the unit. They will flag a $200 credit that will apply as soon as you activate the Tivo.

If you currently don't have HD through DirecTV they will also ship you out a Phase III dish for only the cost of shipping (about $15) and give you free installation with it as well.
