I'm in SE Mequon & can't get Fox 6 & can rarely get CBS 58. Do I have any chance of getting the network feeds from DTV?

Don't expect to be able to get the CBS feed from Directv as the local CBS is not corporate O&O.  However Fox6 is Corporate O&O and when the HD feed comes onto Directv you should be able to get that.  They announced that they would, but Fox hasn't started HD broadcasting yet!

I'm glad this came up.  I just upgraded to a D* HD receiver and although I live in Shorewood and had a ota antenna installed on my roof, I cannot get either digital 6 or 58 on my receiver.  This has me extremely concerned going into football season.

Is there a Fox HD channel assigned on D* yet?

Is there a problem with digital 58 tranmission?

What are my options?

Any help would be appreciated.

No at this time Directv has not assigned a channel number for FOX but I presume it will probably be in the 80's.  As for CBS58's digital signal they are running low power (10k ERP) and I haven't checked the antenna pattern on the FCC site with their license but I would think that they don't have much signal off the backside as they don't want to waste it on Michigan.  The tower is located at Green Bay and Hampton (approx), which puts you almost directly behind it.  Also you have to remember that on tall towers with compressed gain antennas, you actually have a dead zone under the tower where very little signal is present.

Thanks for the reply Greg.

Has CBS58 lowered their power from some time last fallr?  It seemed that I had no problem getting 58 last with just my OTA reciever any my little radio shack bow tie last year.  I could be mistaken.

No they are still running the same power they always ran.
