I have had Voom since May and love it.  it has much more HD content than Charter ( i live just north of Madison).  I pay $39 for the programming with $9.50 rental for one box.  Install was smooth and got free OTA antenna, they even installed it on a tripod & pole  to get better reception.  I can get Rockford on some days from Deforest.  They do have some small issues with microshutters but overall DHDT and ESPNHD and their exclusive channels all are as good as DTV in my book.  I was sold on the fact something is always on in HD as I ditched regular SD long ago.   with no contract I would give it a shot.   Much more conten than Dish or DTV....not sure about TWC.....

Charter service  = :bang:

It must be maddening for the HDTV set buyer to get his set realizing that neither satellite service Direct or Dish cares about HDTV set owners to add anything more than the TNT-HD (Dish) and Directv (nothing) since Voom arrived.

The fact our forum got a good-install experience with Voom is credit to them and the sub, like you, who couldn't get HD delivery from even his cable company (being Charter)! ;)

TWC customers get the locals (4 HD plus PBS HD making it 5)
Then, depending on subscription, up to 9 more via cable.
To do this, it is more than your paying, but many cable favourites are included like the ones I would miss like Sci-Fi and USA, which are now owned by NBC/Universal and missing (still) from Voom.
You are paying about $55/month with rental, box fee and basic Voom, right?
TWC customers, to max out the HD channel offerings, must get a "DigiPic 2000" package for $67.95, add the cable box w/remote which is $7.95 ($7.60 + $0.35) and the 4-HD channel tier of $6.95...so you are doing good.
