It seems that some 2+ weeks after the deadline has passed.  WCGV-TV has filed for an extension. Five years ago they knew the deadline for initiation of broadcast and they also knew of the deadline for applying for an extenstion. This is inexcusable and the FCC had better not grant this.

I am not surprised...I mean after all how many UPN's and WB's channels are digital anywhere in the US. Still you are right. How can they just flippantly ignore deadlines. I have heard that the FCC is going to be "leaning" hard on stations that miss the deadlines. Congress has been leaning on them hard. The US government want their money, and stations who do not proceed with the transition had better be prepared to pay hefty fines.

Surprise, surprise.

The inept combo of  KATHRYN R. SCHMELTZER, ESQ. and David B. Amy, have filed an extension for another station in Milwaukee.

Now, the WB has filed for an extension some 18 days after the deadline. http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/cdbs/pubacc/prod/app_det.pl?App lication_id=598056  http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/c dbs/forms/prod/cdbsmenu.hts?context=25&appn=100598056&formid=337&fac_num=74174

This is pathetic.
