HDNET PRESENTS LIVE 2004 MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS JUNE 20 HDNet is Exclusive U.S. Broadcast Partner of Canada's Acclaimed Music Awards Program

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DALLAS - June 17, 2004

What: HDNet presents the exclusive U.S. telecast of the 15th Annual MuchMusic Video Awards (MMVAs). Canada's most highly anticipated music and media event airs LIVE direct from the CHUM TV Building in the heart of downtown Toronto.

Performers include Beastie Boys, Evanescence, Kanye West, Hoobastank, Hilary Duff, Fefe Dobson, Finger Eleven, Billy Talent, and Three Days Grace.

Presenters include Avril Lavigne, Vivica A. Fox ("Missing" & "Kill Bill: Vol 1 & 2"), Samaire Armstrong ("The OC"), Kaley Cuoco ("8 Simple Rules∑"), David Gallagher ("7th Heaven"), Justin Hawkins (The Darkness), Nickelback and Tom Green.

Top multiple nominees include Sam Roberts, who leads this year's roster with eight MMVA bids, followed by Billy Talent with six, and Pilate with five. Finger Eleven and Nelly Furtado round out more of the top spots, with four nominations each.

The awards show will be hosted by Much on-air personalities Rick Campanelli, Amanda Walsh, Jennifer Hollett, Sarah Taylor, Devon Soltendieck and Ed The Sock.

When: LIVE Sunday June 20th, 2004 ˆ 9:00 p.m. ET

Where: HDNet and HDNet Movies are available in the U.S. on Adelphia Communications, Charter Communications, DIRECTV, DISH Network, Insight Communications, Mediacom Communications, Time Warner Cable and more than 43 NCTC cable affiliate companies. A high-definition television set and receiver is required to view HDNet. Viewers should contact their cable or satellite service provider for more information about how to receive HDNet.
