Hello all.

I'm sorry if I'm intruding, but yours is the closest I have to a local HDTV forum.

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find information on how much bandwith each of my affiliates is allocating for their HD feed.

Any Madison engineers out there? :p

This is a slightly modified link taken from an earlier thread on this same page.

It doesn't answer your question about Bandwidth, but it lists the transmitting power of the stations in your market.

Thanks Tazman.  There seems to be a rather wide range of power being broadcast from each affiliate.  On the low end is the Fox affiliate at 15 kW, and on the high end we have ABC at 400 kW.

I'm about 20 miles from the Madison towers and receive all DT stations without any problems, including Fox.  Is the broadcast power an important indicator for coverage area only, or is it important in another regard?
