Anyone looking to get a new dvd player with the capabilities to output 720p and 1080i should seriously consider the Zenith DVB318.  I would highly recommend the Zenith DVB318. This player has the capabilities to scale and output dvd movies at 720P and 1080i via both Component video and DVI. It's a really hot dvd player right now. It also utilizes the famed Genesis' Faroudja DCDi FLI2301 chip for de-interlacing. Check out the dvd player at AVS forum...

There's a 130+ page thread talking about all the good things this DVD player is capable of. I have one on order and will be hooking it up to my Hitachi 50v500 LCD rear projection HDTV. I'll post my results when I get it this weekend.  Just thought my fellow Milwaukee HD followers might wanna know about it.  Here's a link to the exact same model under the LG label....LG owns Zenith. The LG model is available in Canada and the Zenith is available in US.

Panasonic, Samsung, and others will be out with new 720p/1080i players also using the same chip. I'll let the dust settle before buying one. No need to hurry.
