I sent her an email letting her know about some guide issues that are preventing me from recording most things from the WMVS multicasts on my Tivo. In particular that 10-2 isn't listed in any guides (specifically the DirecTV guide) and that 10-3 and 10-4 are switched.

She responded today informing me that she wasn't aware of this (shame on you guys :P ) and that she would let the appropriate indivduals know and work to get this corrected as soon as possible.

Not even half an hour later I was copied on an email to various MPTV employees asking them to look into each of the issues.

I said it in a reply to her but I felt the need to say it here as well.. Thanks to her and her efforts in both providing Milwaukee with a wonderful digital television setup and in keeping the community informed on their actions. I am looking forward to this being resolved soon and was impressed with her prompt response.

I also sent one to the program director of WTMJ in regards to WTMJ-DT listing SIGN OFF for all of their schedule except primetime.. hopefully that will be fixed as well so I can start recording WTMJ-DT non-primetime on my new Tivo...

I am pleased to report all problems with WMVS-DT's channels all showing up and with the correct guide data on DirecTV receivers has been corrected. 10-2 now shows up in the guide with listings for anyone whose guide is fed by DirectTV (cable and OTA were unaffected by this) and 10-3 and 10-4 now have the correct channel and guide info listed as well.

I feel a huge public congratulations to Karen Cooper and the MPTV engineers are in order on this one for getting it resolved quickly and in an entirely helpful and friendly manner.

Now as to why no one else on the board has ever brought this to their attention before.. ahem ahem... ;)
